Just thought I'd share my tank setup for now, freshly set up so plants have to grow in yet but the fish seem to love the extra space (coming from a 75 gallon).

I'll be removing the rocks weighing the driftwood down in a few weeks once it's saturated as well as the filter sponge.

These are 2-3" RBPs in a 6'x2'x2' aquarium. Will post updates as things settle in and plant growth starts. Lighting will change in the future as well but for now I'm keeping it dim to help them settle.

Wow, your tank setup looks fantastic! It's clear you've put a lot of effort into creating a spacious and comfortable environment for your fish. The driftwood adds a nice touch, and I'm sure once the plants start to grow, it'll look even more stunning. Thanks for these amazing pictures. It's evident that you genuinely care about your aquatic buddies' well-being, and I can't wait to see how everything progresses.

Nice. I still enjoy the black background on tanks.
Don't really have anything to say other than the brick? is an odd choice. But I can't wait for 6 months, 1 year down the road to see the growth of them. Keep us posted please.

Lol I should have explained. That's just the filter media from my AC110 to help cycle the tank quicker. I'll keep posting updates, already at 4-5" on most of them with plants growing in well!

Small update:

Tank is doing very well, fish are thriving and growing up nicely. Some are already in the 6"+ range. I've sold 6 of them already bringing the count down to 16x total. I'm thinking about selling another 4-6 soon as the tank is starting to look a little tight yet again haha.

They've been fed mostly live frogs all summer/fall and now switched to frozen catfish fillets and shrimp (caught locally).

The only plants in here are Jungle Vals, Amazon Swords, Torta Vals, and a few java fern bundles. Growing some Walmart strawberries on top and have harvested quite a few already.

Doing weekly 40% water changes to keep up with the nitrates and I'm still around 50-80 on the high end but that seems to be doing the plants a lot of good so I'm ok with it for now.
