Id like to thank everyone who posted about them and there care and made it real easy to
identify them and there certain uniqueness about them that make them so special.

And a quick Q i have a 55gal, sand bed with 2 heaters for backup and equal heating and very large peice of driftwood
and 2 ac500's for filteration does it sound like im going in the rite direction for there health and well being?

And again thank you all for the info

i forgot to add that there are 5 25cent RBP.

the filtration will be fine as long as you do water changes - no filter will be effective without them.

and good to hear about your new Ps

wow man that's great news
congrats, i am sure you will raise your piranha very well. to keep your boys active i would feed them feeders on ocasion. i feed mine shrimp and beefheart and then once a week (monday) they get feeders to keep the predatory instinct and activity up.

Alot of folks will most def give you different opinions on powerhead/filteration set-ups..

If I had your tank, I'd go for a AC 802 powerhead attatched to one side of the tank facing the opposite side. It will help keep waterflow in one direction where your Ps can get active by fighting the currents for excercise. The 802 will eventually loose a little waterflow (dead spot) towards the other side, which you will require another filter such as an AC 500, where your Ps can rest and chill out. Also turning up the heat a few degrees over will most def get them even more active.
