Years back they used to be everywere. At the store I use to manage I would order them all the time and I had up to a dozen in my tanks at home. for a fish I use to get for 20.00 (adult) Whish I would have hung on to some and took a shot at breeding them

I guess for what ever reason they stopped importing them and no one here(in the U.S.) had any further luck breeding them. When there was a lot I could not really care about having them or not now there are almost none and I want them :laugh:

the Xingu River in Brazil was severly contaminated thus halting their export. Hopefully they will soon be available in numbers once more
