if your using spyware removal software it will remove them and sometimes block em.

yeah all browsers use cookies to automatically log in if you choose to log in automatically at first.

I use firefox too, and it wouldnt sign me in just here. All of a sudden today it starts working, and I didnt change anything on my browser...wierd.

Usually when dealing with this you have to navigate to the bottom of the forums and click "Delete cookies set by this site". Do that, and then hit Control F5 and re-login. Hopefully it works.... if not, email me and we will work something out where I get you a new acct and transfer your stuff over.
