I went to my lfs today to look around and get some plants. To my surprise the had a nice big pacu. In the 2 years or so I have been buying fish from there, I have never seen a pacu. We measured him and he was just over 12 inches. I know thats not big for a pacu, but its the first one I have seen. How big do they get. I thought it was about 2 feet. I will try to get some pics tomorrow if I have time to go in there again. Awesome fish.

Edit----I forgot, he is only $10! I don't have the room for him or a tank that is big enough. I have to buy a house.

Huge Pacus are good for punching bags..

Red bellied pacus get around 2 feet, whereas black pacus known as tambiqui (spelling?) get about 60 inches. And yes, they make excellent punching bags.
