From what I have heard they are not aggressive, they'll eat fish that fit in their mouths but beyond that they're pretty passive

they aren't genetically linked to ocean-going barracuda. They're in the same family as tetras

They've converged on the skinny, shiny, toothy look that the true marine barracuda have. They are much more closely related to tetras and piranhas. Their teeth also hold prey, they dont slice and dice like piranha or the true barracudas.
