Hi all

I'm giving serious though to upgrading my rhom tank to a 48"L x 20"W x 22"H, for life, this will give me 90 US gallons.
This will also free up it's current home a 40"L x 16"W x 16"H, 45 US gallon tank.
I'd like to have a go at keeping members of the spilo family as i saw a gold spilo once, labled as a "dark banded piranha" and the gold colouration was incredible and it was very fiesty. However i'd also like to keep serrasalmus maculatus or the "ruby red spilo" as they to look great. Would you concider it cruel to keep say 1, 5-6" speciemen of each in the 45gallon tank with a divider. I don't have a time limit of them being in there as another tank would NOT be possible. However, depending on how the rhom reacts to it's new environment, i may sell the rhom in the future.
Ta.

I sometimes add a divider in my tank, but only when I have baby fish, I divide my piranha tank, but the fry are usually livebearers
