im trying to scour other peoples aquariums with north american specicens in them....Northern pike pics preffered. P.S. has anyone tried to keep a bullhead???

I am currently bring a 1" northern chain pickeral to health and growing him out. Might keep him or give him to a friend. Not sure yet.

I also used to have a few pumpkin seed sunfish but they are currently in a 240g aquarium over my neighbors house. He is trying for an all native tank. If the pike grows to 4 or 5 inches he will be moved into that tank.

yea i've had long ear sunfish (they adapt well even as adults), i had lake chubsuckers, bullhead catfish (i think black) some kind of shiner minnows that are real aggressive

VERY NICE SPECIMENS... YOU SAY THE SHINERS WERE REAL AGGRESSIVE??? I WAS THINKING ABOUT SLAMMEING SOME IN A TANK..HOW BIG WERE YOURS?

im not sure on the species i had. it was a man-lake and they were trapped in this overflow/pond. it was weird b/c i had just put 10 in a large white bucket and dropped in ant larva and they ate right after i caught them.

the biggest ones were about 6 inches.

sunfish are great natives pets the behave just like cichlids (b/c they are related)
but i would suggest at least a 55 for the sunnies.

I HAD SUNFISH BEFORE, AND IM SICK OF THEM... I WANT SOME COOLER sh*t LIKE BULLHEADS AND SUCH.. I USED TO FEED THEM TO MY P'S... THAT WAS PRETTY COOL..
