Ive just noticed these little bastards floating around. I havent moved my shoal into my 120 gallon yet, its not even filled or setup yet. I was thinking if I completely drained the tank. Put my fish in the bigger tank. Then, let the tank with the worms just sit there for a day or two empty. There should be little or no water in the tank, probably just gravel. Will they die off, or survive? What do you guys think? I'll let ya know what happens in the next few days. Just curious if anyones tried something like that. I've read post saying they've either used meds or just thorough, repeated cleanings and removing leftover food. Thanx

i think if the gravel completely dried out then the worms would die, however, you risk the chance of killing off all the bacteria in that tank. you may need to cycle that tank again. I would just do very thorough cleanings and add some parasite clear.

Yeah. I've been feeding them alot less now that I have an extra tank for feeders. I've noticed the numbers dropping already, that and my jumbo goldfish appear to be eating them. Its much better than it was before the weekend. Hopefully I get my gear from Big Al's today so I can set up the 120. Then, I'll just do a good water change while I move them. Thanx again guys!
