any one every tried a white backround. i just put one on from some old table cloth.

i had a white back ground with a few of my reds, and i swore that they would change color with their attitudes... i had white rocks with that background and it just didnt seem to bring out the color i wanted. so now i switched to black and now they are darker and they look beautiful!!! good luck

I dunno about those colors but blue is really sweet it makes the p's color more vibrant.

White, well i had a white wall behind one of my tanks, didnt seem to cut it for me or the fish, but then again it was dealing with cichlids.... why not try using a mirror :

I say it might make them more skittish or uncomfortable. Ps dont like the brightness too much and white would just reflect too might lighting. But if you do this, please try to show a pix and keep us informed about your Ps behavior with the white backround!!

I wouldn't try white, maybe w/ a dark huge rhom!
but for my reds, I put a black garbage bag behind my tank.
It looks pretty cool. It also draws more attention to the objects lit up by the tank light.

i use a black background and black ravel with my rhoms. i have some tanks with no backgrounds and the walls are white behind the tank. it doesnt seem to affect my p's.

I agree I would go with blue personally.
