I know this has been posted millions of times but I searched and didn't find much. So what is the general thinking here about using sand in your tank? I have heard all the good and the bad. For me it would be cheaper. I am thinking of silica or maybe play sand. I just don't want to screw up my impellers. I am getting my new 90g within a few days. So I have to figure this out soon.
