i have had a thought , do you have to use water conditioner when changing water , i mean instead of using it is there another way of getting rid of chlorine and the rest of the harmful chemicals in water , i was thinking of filling a large clean bin with water adding a power head and heater into it , would that be enough to get rid of the tap chemicals or not ?

I think that if u let water sit in a bin/bucket/wtv for like a week, the chlorine goes away........I heard that on some site.

Yeah the Chlorine will dissipate over time. So ageing it over time will work. And work faster if the surface is agitated.

If your water contains Chloramines this won't. This requires a water conditioner that usually removes other heavy metals too.

Yes over time letting water sit will get this effect, but imo its not worth the wait. Water conditioner isnt that expensive and gets the job done in a fraction of the time.

just get conditioner.. it works nearly instantly... then your not waiting for 2 weeks with 30 buckets of water your basement

Just for your reference, Amazonian rain water is only 1 to 2 degrees cooler as it hits the surface.
