I want to use the venturi valve application on my new powerhead but I cant seem to get the water to stop coming back up the hose which is stopping the air flow. How can I get the water to stop getting sucked up into the hose ? thanks.

is the airpump on before the powerhead is turned on? i had to turn the airpump first then the powerhead or it'll get into the airline. also you might need a more powerful airpump depending on the power of the powerhead, how deep it is under the water.

I dont think you understand. Its the venturi valve feature on the 901 powerhead. not an airpump.

Heres a ghetto thing to do.. Keep your powerhead on, attatch the airline hose, blow into it and keep the hose elevated (suggestions towards up) to keep watwer from retreating.

i thought thats what it was. i attached an air pump to that little nozzle thing so that bubbles would shoot out with the current. or im just not supposed to be using it right.
