im finding planeria in my tank and i do weekly water changes. im wondering what i am doing wrong? i fish out uneaten food as much as i can. only thing i can think of is that my magum 350 is not god enoug for the tank. it doesnt suck up the fish poop. so adding an extra canister might do the trick? yes, no?

How old is the sponge in your canister? Canisters will lose a little flow rate with clogged up pads and carbon, and media. I don't know if magums use media. If they do thats another thing to check,

i would add another..if possible ..aquaclear 500 could help out..thats what i ran when i had a 60..a magnum350 and a 500..worked like a charm

Eric, have you gotten a new filter yet?? When I had that Mag on my 55 gal, I only used it when the tank got cloudy and rarely kept it on 24 hrs. Plus the only thing I had for filteration was an UGF. Before you go get anyting else, change the filter. Let me know if you still need one, Ill go swoop one up for you after work.

nopes im too cheap to buy one hahah. i actually ran out of money this week. =( geez im sooo broke hahaha. what i did was try washing out the filter. i will buy one next week. =(stupid planeria. i always have this problem! i think my problem is the filter

I used to go to 6th Ave for equipment (never fish), but I found that Pet Club has lower, even cheaper prices at times. For equipment, my homie works at a LFS in the eastbay and usually get deals from him here and there.
