Can I use a regular 4' flourscent light strip for a reptile, and just use the proper bulb, or is there a special type of bulb "holder" that I need to use.
Yes you can use a traditional light strip found at harware stores. Just make sure to buy a proper light to fit it if your herp calls for specfic lighting.
you can use a standard floursecent bulb, but it would only be any good for light, it couldnt be used for heating or UV.
If you wanted a UV bulb, you could fit it in a normal flourescent fittings, as long as the size and wattage matches.
