Hi all,

I have just purchased 3 x baby rbp's, each being about 2" in length or maybe a tad under, and i just wanted to know what the optimum temp is in the tank, please??

I hear all sorts of info, but my tank is cuurently at 82F, is this ok? or are adjustments necessary?

Thanks

Most hobbyists would referr to a steady 79-81. Sure signs of temp being too hot is when your fish are chill'in near the top of the tank. Heat rises to cooler temps. If thats the case, then adjusting to your temp would be needed.

82 is fine, but maybe it's wise to slowly reduce the water temperature a couple of degrees now it's slowly getting warmer. This way, you'll have a little more buffer, in case it gets extremely hot outside (which will definitely influence your water temperature!)

79-82 is fine to me mine is between this length. I try to keep it less than 82 though.
