Hey again, I've been reading through this forum and i've noticed that people are saying that your better off getting a tank thats longer then higher for piranha's. For example, the 29g i'm getting is 30Lx12Wx18H. Or i can go with a 20g which measures 30Lx12Wx12H. Seems kinda shallow to me being that its only 12" high. I'm only going to be keeping 1 2" Medinai Piranha. Thanks for all the help guys.

In your case there isnt much of a diffrence in the tank sizes so I would go for the extra water volume and go with the 30g.

eh just get the 29, more volumn, easier to maintain.

the cost difference is small, the piranha will grow a decent amount its first year, and it will be easier to maintain a 29. For those reasons I would get the 29.

you are correct however, that the length and width is more important than the height in a piranha tank.

Simple answer.. Ps swim more from one end of the tank to the other... not float up and down
