well my 20g was outside and it was really cold lately so i brought it in today cuz i forgot about it and i noticed that the plastic trim around the tank was cracked in one place..

I examined the whole tank and none of the sealent was peeling away or anything

Do u guys think if i used aquarium sealent and tried to fix it that there wouldnt be a prob...Isnt the trim jst for looks anyways?

Jst need some pointers.

The trim on the tank has nothing to do with the seal on the tank
It's basically only for looks and protection...
Fill it up and see if it leaks to make sure there's no damage under the trim.

The silicone does all the work with regards to keeping the tank solid.
