ok i have a 29 gallon on a metal stand against the wall

there is a platform on the bottom of the stand. is it save to put a 20 high on the underneath plathform?

i would do a 20 long but it wouldnt be able to fit in horizontally.

so would the base platform be able to support that 20 g as well as the 29 on top full of water?

I have two stacks against walls, one 33 gallon 36 x 12 on metal stand with 32 gallon underneath 80 cm by 35 cm or about 30" x 13.5 ". but I used pieces of wood and builder shims in the front and back to support the lower cross beams of the metal stand just to be sure. I also have a 75 gallon 48 x 18 on a metal stand and another 75 gallon that is underneath it but perpendicular to wall, so it sticks out..., and in this case I built a small platform that allowed the lower tank to hover over the lower cross beams of metal stand as the were obviously very weak. in other words I would not use the stand for stacking aquariums without additional structural support.
