What is going to be better for oxygenating my tank- a DIY spraybar at the water surface or a air pump and bubble wand type deal? Also, for a 22" deep tank is a special air pump (i.e. tetratec deepwater) needed or will any powerful airpump do it? Thanks.
Both are good. I lean towards air pumps. I was looking at the deep water pumps last week. From what i read they do sound better. The big pumps i have had always worked. And all my tanks are 22" tall. They have lasted for about 1-2 years on average. I actually was thinking about getting a tetratec also. But i have owned a new tetratec filter. And i think it is garbage.
But i own a 15 tear old tetra whisper 5. And like it better than my ac 500.
