I was sleeping last night, and I heard a noise that sounded like someone throwing rocks at my tank. So I got up just in time to see my rbp running around in there. Does anyone have any idea what he was doing? I don't see how he could be attacking his reflection, not really any lights on to make a reflection. He woke me up twice doing it also.
I also believe that Ps do get more active in less light. remember these guys do live in murky waters. Its just their way of pacticing their natural wild instinct in your aquarium.
My redbelly scoops up the gravel in his mouth at night. I guess he is looking for food. Maybe that is the sound you're hearing. Reminds me of my of a red devil I had.
I heard noises like that also. Went on for about 20 mins and went to inspect it and found the larger cariba attacking goldfish at the surface, making that plopping noise.
check to see if your screen wet sometimes my red belly will hurt a feeder it will float to the top then hie will hit it again so hard he jumps out of the water and hits the screen
