My roomate wants to ship a laptop he just bought to his girlfreind in Ecuador so he can talk to her on a webcam

I told him he is crazy if he thinks its going to get there in one piece if it gets there at all due to the high theft rate? What do you think?

I dont have any experience with Ecuadorian shipping yet I think there is a decent chance he will get it. I wouldnt have risked it though....did he buy it from a store or individual?

Let me just clarify... He just bought it used here, pretty good deal on a fairly new lap top. He wants to ship it to south america.... He is here at school with me in SC.

I would say to ship it FedEx or UPS and get it insured. All that stuff has to get shipped there some how. its not like the dont have any computers in Ecuador at all. Your roomate is really infatuated with this girl huh. Is sh eEcuadorian or is she from here adn just goig to school there for a while. Other thing your roomate should remember is that if she is using a dial up connection for this webcam it is goig to be the largest waste of time adn money ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
