one of my dogs has been acting funny lately(german sheperd) ..acting really sluggish of late..thought she was in one of her moods of laziness.well today in the morning when i woke up she was hacking and had a nasty cough..seemed like it wasn't going to go away,so i decide to call her vet,they told me too bring her in..well they did a check up and also did a couple of x-ray on her and found out that she had develope lung cancer...

sad day..they told me she had only weeks to live..

she just turned 9 years old yesterday...

Thats just soo sad. I remember when my german sheppard went through something similar to yours. Isnt there a way that they can remove the cancer??

Man, I'm really sorry to hear that

When I was a kid, I experienced a similar thing: our dog became overprotective of us, and started attacking and biting people he thought of as being a threat to us.
He had to be put down, before any real serious accident happened. I know what it feels like to loose such a precious member of the family.

I'm really sorry to hear that. It's tough losing a dog. They bond so close with their owners. I don't know what I would do if something happened to my beagle. We've been through allot together.

I'm very sorry...many of the people on this board, including me, know what its like to lose a beloved animal. Just give her the best life you could possibly give her (and by that picture, she already has it!! :biggrin: ). I make it a habit of telling my cats and my horse that I love them every day I see them and give them a hug/kiss. Give your dog a pat for me :smile:

I am very sorry to hear that. make sure to hug the hell out of your dog man. that's horrible news. I had a dog that died of cancer when i was younger. it's very hard to loose such a good friend.

sorry to hear that man. Is there anything they can do for her? If not than give her the best care and love ever. That way she dies knoing you cared for her. I'm praying with you that god helps her pull through.

That is sad it reminds me of my 2,14 yearold cats we had to put them to sleep becuase they had cancer. I had them since I was born. You can remove some cancers but it gets really exspensive it is just like a human having cancer"kinda"
