i have had 9 in my 120 before it worked out fine
just wanna know if i can go to 12 in there or will that be pushing it

my red range from 10.5"-7" the sizes are in my singnature

Personally I think that is pushing it. I would stay with 9 reds. A 120 is only 4ftlong. You would need at least a 6ft.

Whats the dimensions on your tank? Standard 120 are 48x24x24.

I have Eight 8-10" Rbs in my tank.. which I bought from a PFury'er that had it with 7 other Pygos in a 125. 15 huge Ps in a 125 gal all living in harmony. I didnt believe it, but I was flabberghasted when I saw it with my own eyes.

I'd keep it at fish: you say they get along fine, so why risk a lot of unrest and potential violence in your tank. 9 reds is already stretching it a little....
