I've seen pics of reds with red rohm like eyes..............very cool..........mine are clear but some times I can see faint tints of orange...........wich reds have those red eyes? Is it common?

mine also, i don't know if it's common or not, it might be genetics or if they are wild reds or tank raised. i'm not really sure. good question though.

Actually, its not fully red like aRhoms, but a red around the pupil. Its a common feature on most reds.

How old are your reds? If you look closely at both pictures below, babies dont get these features until they've matured into juvies. Once they matured, red around the pupils develope. Correct me if im wrong, but the red isn't a characteristic on all, but merely a common feature that most RBs have.

Check my sig for their size.as for age I got them quarter size in june of 2004.

As stated, its a common characteristic which most RB's get... nothing sureshot of exceptions.

Would yo happen to have a pic of your RB as well? maybe we can use it for future info use if the same question ever pops up again.

You have to get right up close to him, because sometimes it's just a thin line around the pupil.

Eye color is an individual trait: some mature Rhoms have deep red eyes, while other fishes' eyes have a more faint coloration. Same applies to Redbellies.
