Came home and checked my water perameters and my tank was done cycling finally. I did a water change to remove the nitrates and preceded to start netting my boys. I have 16 which makes this no easy endeavor. One by one I rounded them up with two nets, one to move them toward the larger net and once I got them I used the smaller net to help support and trap them to keep them from panicking and squirming around in the net. One net bit to shreads later I had them all placed in my 180 acrylic. Lucky for me I had a spare net to finish the job. If you want to see pics of my tank visit them in the pictures and video section. I'm so happy...they are shoaling great from one side to another playin follow the leader.

How many oscars do you have with the reds? Where they together before?

There are four little ones in there. They've never been together before but they were there before the piranha's were so hopefully they'll be ok till tomorrow after work. Now I need to figure out how to net those little bastards without freakin out my piranha's.

How big are the Ps and Oscars? I know it'll be overstocking your tank, but why take the Oscars out? You'd be one of the few that defies the rule of having another specie in with Ps.

If I left them in they would more than likely not coexist...the piranha's are so much larger than the oscars. The oscars are barely bigger than the large feeders in the tank that were there to help it cycle. I'm gonna round em up tomorrow hopefully so nothing unfortunate happens.

OK.. excuse me for posting my opinion before I saw the pix. Yeah, the Oscars are pretty small and would become a morsel for your Ps later on. But great looking Ps and set ups man!!

Oscars are alive and well and now at my lfs. The little blue convict escaped unscathed as well. Now all thats in there are feeders and lots of piranha's.

He asked me if I was there to trade them in...I said no just take em. After all they've been really good to me there. They held my large arowana there till my 180 cycled and was able to transfer my piranha's over the it clearing out the 80 gallon.

So far as I have been keeping my eye out, there are only 4 that I know of. Mine, yours, and a member named Elongatus over at pfish.net that has 2 (both about 5 inches). I was talking to him and couldnt remember your user name. But I knew that there was someone over here that had one. I read one of Clay's old posts, as he used to be a seller on pfish, and he refered to Elongats's 2 as being, I believe 2 of three that he imported. So then perhaps there are a total of 5 that I know of.

Yeah I know there are definately more then 5(maybe there are six

), I was just refering to those that I have heard about.

RCR - I know the one you are talking about. That one has yet to be confirmed. Sad thing is, I believe he sold it recently. Something about living condition and not being able to have a tank.I could be wrong though.
