It could work if grown together and the tank has plenty of and suficient space and meets each species requirments.
And of course plenty and varieties of food are provided. Good luck anyhow

welcome to pfury, and i think it could work. I had an eel with my ps for awhile and they were fine. But you never, it always depends on the individual fish. Any responses you get will just be from personal experience, and will not hold true in all cases. Give it a try, piranha keeping is all about experimentation!

Sooner or later your ropefish will die...it's their nature...their destiny!
