i was talking about how bright my p's get when i do a water change and stock them up with instant amazon and ketapang additives. they get all bright and laid back when i add it. i recommended it in the discussion forum earlier today and wanted to give an example of what i meant. this photo is less than an hour after a 25 % water change when they'd usually be sorta stressed and skittish and lightly colored. they love the stuff, i'm telling you. it's a great addition to good filtration and plants to get your p's feeling right at home. p. piraya and p. nattereri lurking as always.

correction tinkerbelle! they're actually "faker-thanshitus-petsplususplasticus-myfishlovethemtodeathus-amazonusferns. they are great because they offer great mid tank cover which gets my pygos swimming and lurking at all depthsof the tank and almost never skittish because of the 8 huge fake plants i have in there. it promotes lurking, ambushing of food, and mellowed out color and shoaling. there's so many plants, nobody even bickers over hiding spots. i'm a fan of that.
