I run Windows 98, the software for my digital camera loads automatically when the cpu is started up, it takes freaking 4ever, I know there is a way you can manually go in and set what applications start upon startup, I just forget how to do it, anyone know? And I have checked several times, most software apps there is an option you can check so it doesn't start up upon start up, this software doesn't have that. Thanks.

You could also check the program's preferences: usually, there's a checkbox called "Load *program name* at start-up" or similar.
Just have a look: if it's there, uncheck it.

found out, Im lazy and just didn't feel like looking for it

in case your wondering, you go to "start-run-Msconfig.exe-startup tab"
