I have made some new return pipes for the two Mag 9.5 pumps I am using.
I know PVC is good after like 6 hrs for people but what about the fish.
I got both return pipes glued today and was worried about adding them to the tank to fast.
I figure 24 hrs should do it but any info you would like to share would be great.

Usually if it is safe for people, it is safe for fish... as a rule of thumb, I always double the drying time that they recommend and then wash it all before I use it as well... I have never had any problems with PVC glue drying though... nothing like how some tubes of silicone just go bad and never dry.

I would say if you are reading this now, youve waited plenty long enough!

Have you ever tried to pull something apart that you just glued when it comes to PVC? It takes like 5 seconds to be hard as a mofo and I bet that it would take no longer than 10 minutes before you could run drinking water through it.

all depends on the type it says on the bottle. but yeah if it says 6hr then I'd go with that. some insta cure stuff would work quickly but I would still give it time to dry completly.
