but as far as food and other things go, how much/often and $$$$ do i have to look forward to spending?

Not much, depending what you want to feed. My feeding cost probably run 20 a month, but this is just a guess and I am in the midwest so shrimp is expensive.

dude it's nothin at all, have a feeder tank, say feeders 10 for a buck, got some extra lunch meet well there ya go! it not much at all and they are the coolest fish you'll ever had unless maybe you get some caribe piranha.

Actually, it will add up on your expenses. The bigger these guys get, the bigger the appetite. Best way to go is getting an alternative tank and try to breed any kind of feeders for them. Plus depending where your located, you can always go to Asian markets where they sell beef heart, shrimp, krill, or squid for cheap.

It's really not that bad. You can buy forzen fish when it's on sale and if you can get beefheart from a butcher it's usually .99 cents or less a pound.

i say 30 to 40 bucks..to go cheap i recommand beef-heart..freeze it ,thaw it ..and toss it into your tank..

the cost will vary as they grow. probably around $20.00-$30.00 a month when they get full grown.
