I was wanting the opinion of p-fury on post whores.

I can personally recognise 3 kinds:

1 - the kind that have the aim of posting as many posts as possable regardless of content (often recognised with double posts and a lack of content, ofter off-topic)

2 - the kind who try to help in as many threads as possable (very informative posts, but they are found everywere)

3 - and the ones who help a lot of the time, but still post pointless posts.(kind of a mix between types 1 & 2, sometimes post good posts, and give help/advice, but also post some pointless, or off-topic posts)

but my poll is not only based on what do you think a post whore is, but also do you like it?
my options are:

*I agree that post whores are type 1 and don't like them

nah, I would claim to be in category 3, I do help out in the serious sections and try to give good advice, yet still post some stupid and pointless posts in the lounge, but I know my views, I also read the odd post where people seem to be irratated by post whoring, so I thought I would discover the opinions of the masses.

Personally I don't mind people posting lots - well that would be the pot calling the kettle black - but I don't like double posts and ruining of "good" threads, I think that their is a point when you can go too far and it does just get irratating, but on the whole I have no problems with it.

Sorry about the confusing poll, and I think this one is differant than previous ones, it is not who is the post whore, but whats your opinion on post whores.

1 thing though ruining peoples threads and posting useless or wrong info for the sake of posting is wrong

...but my main purpose of posting "my 2 cents" is to add something of a comic relief

People who post a lot are fine. But when people post whore it can be annoying, especially when I try to read a thread and it gets derailed by mulitple pages of crap, so I have to try to sift through the posts to see what is relevant and what is nothing. Posting a lot to a board can be a great contribution but you don't have to post an emoticon everytime you can't think of something to say. This is not directed at anyone in particular but just a generalization. Hopefully the chat room will fix this a bit. I hope people keep posting, a lot at that too, just keep the whoring down lol.
