How big will a common pleco get. How long will it take to out grow a 20 gallon tank and how often and what should i feed it. Also is it true that they will destroy a live planted tank?

i had mine in a tank with live plants, he didnt harm the plants at all, just used them for cover..and i think they get like 15"+ but im not sure

I have a friend who said his pleco destroyed 100$ worth of plants. I wouldnt chance it, but go for it if ur rich.

I have two Pleco`s and they never destroyed one plant. They do dig holes where ever they can. I(almost) never feed them, they eat the scraps and the alges.
And I have seen one from about 18 inch.
