I just bought a 55 gallon tank, and I want to get 2-3 6" or bigger aggressive p's. What would be the best?

get 3 rbp. or3 caribe. or3 piraya. or3 ternetzi. or 1 rbp and 1 caribe and 1 piraya.!! or vice versa mix it up!

Want a shoal or solitary? If you want solitary get either a brandti or rhom, if you want a shoal get a mix of pygos!

Get a rhom! It's easy to take care of and you don't have to worry about a shoal killing each other.

I got it, buy a rbp, a rhom, a spilo, and a irritan, then put them all together. Should be very interesting...lol. I'm kidding :rasp: . I have 21 reds and they seem cool just swimming together.

I have them in a 180 for now. They're only 3". Hopefully I'll get a 240 or a 265.

haha wow im amazed, 21 reds. I wont be able to get a bigger tank than a 55 b/c im in college right now and will be moving in a little over a year. I have 5 gold spilos at home that my parents take care of now. Will just having 1 aggressive one be kinda boring?

Get a small Rhom and let him get lost in the 55 with alot of cover. The aggression and livliness depends on the individual fish. In a few years upgrade to a 75 or a 90.
