i am planning on planting my 125 if u guys could give me some plants that i could use as ground cover that thrive with low light. i am planning on gettng some java ferns and jungle val. i just have sand in the tank right now will these plants grow in just sand or should i get some other type of substrate??? the sand is about an inch thick. also i dont really have the money for a co2 system so i need the plants to be able to survive wiht out one is this possible. any help would be great thanx

your plants should be fine i think you want about 2 to 3 inches of sand thow also if your lights r good enuff i dont think you should have a prob vallis need strong lighing

You can add with great succes Echinodorus Tenellus or Saggitaria Subulata they will do ok in sand and they look great...
