i thought it was a good time to get some slate rock and build a house for my 11'' rhino pleco so i did he shares his pad with two tiger o's in a 77gal i purchased two brown rocks one smaller and one longer and made a ramp like looking cave the rhino loves it but the two o;s hate it

they stay now in the opposite corner staring at the back glass, like they don't want to look at me

has anybody ever had simular exp. please do tell :smile:

I have never heard of this, but maybe they are jealous because they know it is built for your pleco. I saw my oscars at the lfs today I miss them

. I think they should come around you could maybe build a bigger one in the other corner? Just a thought... let me know how things turn out.

A possibility is that you can build a cave or a tunnel for the oscars using driftwood or rocks.

they are terratorial - they will get used to their new terrotory, give them time

Like Innes stated, Oscars are territorial, like many other Cichlids.

Soon the Oscars will take over those slates and attack anything that will get near their "home". The reason why they are sitting on the opposite side is because they are shocked and stressed because of all this arrangement, they will be fine in a couple of days.
