my oscar is dying hes layin on his side not moving very much. my parameters are fine i duno whats wrong!! HELP

hes about 11 inch

My O does this from time to time, i check the parameters and their fine, i do a water hange and increase the amount of oxygen going into the tank and he brightens up. This might not be the case with your O so wait untill other people reply before you act

how long has he been like that? has it been eating? other symptoms?

mine did that once,clean the tank up a bit,water change,more oxygen is always good and if u have an AC clean it up a bit.

did he eat a big meal before this happened? cause i've noticed when mine gorges himself he lies around looking sick for a few hours afterwards ( i try not to feed him that much but if just happens sometimes). It's like eating too much turkey at thanksgiving and then taking a nap.

Don't worry too much mine do that sh*t all the time. Ass soon as I open the lid to feed them they perk right up.

yeah he ate a couple feeders and some shrimp. hes fine now. he eats way too much tho!! i need to get rid of him and my 2 red belly pacus

Oscars eat alot, really my cichlids are eating more than my P's are.
Pacus must eat sh*t loads, what all do you feed the Pacus?

im feeding pacus. fruits, veggies, pellets flakes. pinkies ( treats haha). crickets!! theyll eat anything that hits the water pretty much

I know the O is 11", how big are the Pacus? ...Going to be hard sell.

5 and 6" they shoal with my red belly piranha

i duno why i separated him from the shoal. ill put him back later

hes my biggest p my smallest is a 5" caribe with great ass color to him. hes the alpha male in my p tank even tho hes the smallest

Hmmm.........I have to say something is conspicuous about this whole situation. First you Oscar is dying with the name of the thread so people will feel sorry and enter. Then you are getting all kinds of attention. Now, you post that you are trying to sell the fish. Did anyone else notice that? Do you think "my Oscar is dying HELP!" was just a sales pitch to get us all in here?
