One of my reds started to keep a certain spot in the tank and not letting all the others near it. He doesnt go out of his way to attack them but when they get near him he loses it.. They used to all hang out in that corner now they are all scattered around the tank.. Anyone has an idea.. ? why ????????

He's your "alpha red." Pygo tanks usually have a dominant fish.

take out the decorations in the tank so they wont have territories to battle over.

yeah take out any deco because p's steak out territory and that could be the cause of the aggression. leave the tank bare. youll have happier p's that way

? I always thought that a tank with lots of dense cover was best for P's, even from the point of view of territory distribution. with the new P tank I'm putting togethor for my 5 RBP's maybe I should just go with black gravel and thats all
