i'm cycling my 50g and i check it today and my nitrite and nitrate are through the roof on the tank....is that normal or what...do i need to do anything or is this a phase of cycling

Make change of 1/3 water.That will lower nitrite and nitrate.
^ i dont know what this dude is talkin about. You dont do water changes while the tank is cycling. Your parameters are normal, and they will fall when the cycle is done.

I was told that it makes the cycle longer. Also sry for those posts, everytime I clicked reply it said page cannot be found, i thought it didnt go through.
