Nibbler the Sanchezi

592 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  SantaMonica
Just got a sanchezi and he’s hanging out in a 40B but I’m moving him to a 55g show tank in my living room. I’m worried that the bio load will be too low and looking for any suggestions to get a strong enough cycle that it won’t crash. I plan on having him in a heavily planted aquas cape with a all-in-one system.

Seed your new tank with established filter media. Maybe add some snails and shrimp or fish you wouldn't be too sad to see eaten. Boost that with tetra safestart plus at least 24 hrs after the last water change and you'll be good. Just started a tank this way and it worked well. Fully cycled in a week with no major ammonia or nitrite spikes...as for sexing, no idea.
