there is water sprite above it and the light penetrating it makes it appear yellow, no i have had him for almost a year now

My first Rhom got burned a bit when he was about 2 inches, there's no sign of it now.

i had a red which had a heater burn which showed as darker scales but as it got older you could not see it due to the fish getting darker it may show on your spilo with it being a lighter colour and as it is a good size
did you get a heater guard since getting mine i have had no heater breakages or fish burns
