ive got a 55 gallon and im tired of the rainbows i have in there because they are too small. i was thinking of getting 2 or 3 medium sized green terrors and thats it you guys think that would be good (look at shark aquarium hes got a bad ass 7")

1 max. even a 55g for a full grown green terror is pushing it. you can house 3 or so juveniles in there, but only for a few months.

i dont really care about breeding i just want a larger cichlid with gorgeous colors and a temper i dont care if i can only have 1 green terror in there or 1 of something else any ideas? how big of a tank does a butterokeifi (sorry for the spelling) need

Go with African cichlids, they don't get very large and are colorful.

Buttis Get Big. Like 14-16 inches I beleive. 55 Gallon is too Small.
Id get like 3 Juvie Terrors, Grow em out a little, and keep the Best Looking one,
usually a Male. Male Terrors are Awesome once they hit that 6+ Inch Mark.
Might also Consider adding some Tiger Barbs
