its a tossup between a 3-6in rhombeus, a 3-4 goldspilo (those nice ones from aquascape) or a 5in caribe. can i keep 2 caribes in there? how bout 2 spilos?

I would either go with the single spilo of rhom. The choice is up to you. Either fish will do okay in the 29 for quite some time. I would not get the caribe, as it is more of a schooling fish and might exhibit high skittishness in the tank by itself. As for a school, a 29 is much too small and 2 of any piranha is not a good number. One will quickly establish dominance over the other and soon you will be down to one fish.

Go with the rhom or spilo. Thats your best bet.

how would wimples do... they only are small yet not a true piranha species....
There is an idea. I dont have much experience with them. How big do they get? If they reach nomal p sizes, then the 29 is still going to be too small.

I'd go with a rhomzilla
Spilos are cool also, but Rhoms are more known to be aggressors with none pure hobbyists.
