They will survive as far as water conditions go. With decent filtration and frequent water changes with water of the same PH etc..

The main concern would be fighting in the cramped conditions. The bigger one may have a go at one of the others.

This would bring up a debate probably. Some people tend to believe more hiding places will be better. Others would say it leads to more territorial dispute.

Watch your PH if you add some driftwood to such a small tank. It could drop a fair bit. Especially if your KH is low.

I guess adding anything else is going to cramp the conditions further. A friend of mine has kept too different size Pygo's in a small tank for a long time. That tank is next to bare, just a few plastic plants. Thats not to say it will work for you. Everything is fish dependant, ecery fish is different. I guess it will be a case of keep your fingers crossed.

You do have the option of completely cramping the conditions and dividing them. This would certainly be a little cruel in a small tank but they are more likely to be fine. And it is only temp

The only bonus of having them in is they will probably be eaten before your p's turn on each other.

The bio load on this little tank is great. And I hope you are aware this group of fishes are clearly not going to get on in the long run. I assume the other fish are there to be eaten? It would be an idea to re-home the others before they are killed. An oscar wants about a 55-75 gallon tank on its own. Is that a Bala shark I see too?

taking into consideration that you just doubled your bio load i would be doing loads of frequent water changes like 20% every other day which is only one 5 gal bucket.
was the fluval 4 you added an additional filter and was it matured from another tank or not.
also leave the oscar it will be a good distraction.
