well i was at the lps last week and saw a cute lil red in a 10 gal tank....after looking closer i noticed teh lil bugger only had 1 eye....so i decided wut the hell, 10 isn't too too bad for a 2.5" red, even if he does have only 1 eye

so i bought him him, devided my 30 that my brandtii is temp. in *till i move into my new apartment this week w/ my cycled 100* ...and teh lil bugger seems to be doing great! even knowing the brandtii is pissed as hell cause he has to share

i've grown attached to teh lil bugger and am considering keeping the brandtii in the 29 gal :rasp: and maye givein the red a few friends and teh 100 gal...wutcha think?

but that eve the was eating shrimp, and he has no problem eating infront of me now. he even tries to attack teh brandtii *which is a good 4" bigger than him" through the devider

thanks...and that's why i'm hopein'.... think i'm gonna get him a few buddies though....gonna make sure they're a lil smaller than him though so he doesn't get eaten. but he's already showing a lot of agression so i think he'll be all right!

Never underestimate the power of retarded Ps. Usually, if born like that, they'll soon adapt on living like that while i gets older. Even an injured P with its eyes taken out will only need time until it manages to live with the disability.

i wanted to rescue one in the same situation, but i have nowhere to put him and even if i could temporarily put him somewhere i dont have anywhere for him when he gets bigger. same thing though. one small p in a 10 gallon with one eye...except the one i saw the thermometer was atleast 86. i told the woman it was too hot but she refused to believe me and tried to act like she knew what she was talking about... damn lfs

I picked up a 1 eye piraya from George, we call him Righty. Its funny to watch him try to chase feeders though, he'll go for a strike, if he misses he has to swim in a circle to relocate that fish and try again. I'm starting to throw some frozen shrimp in there for him so he can find food easier.

Aggression wise, he's in a tank with 2 6inch reds and he'll stand up to them, just they do push him around. He's about 3 inches.
