I have a Rhom that I have had for 3 months now that is almost 4 inches. Starting 3 weeks ago I could see a hint of red on the middle right half of his eyes on the right side of the vertical black stripe. I have been noticing that little by little the right half of his eyes are becoming more red. At first it was only in the middle of the right half, but I have noticed that the red is extending up and down towards the black stripe.

It is really interesting to see this process because there was no red at all 3 months ago. It will only be a matter of time until they are fully red!

Has anyone else witnessed their p's eyes turning red?

Some Rhoms dont get their red eyes until maturity age. Some get theres at 2 inches. My 8"'s eyes are lighter during the day and red during the night. My 5"'s eyes are red throughout the day. I guess its the individual...

The red eyes was one of the most appealing factors that made me so intrigued to getting a black rhom. Anything that turns black and has ruby red eyes just gives the impression of something hellish and distructfull!
