well i have these piraya for a week or so now ,,,and they are getting worst with the fungus,im treating it with pimafix and raised my temp to 83 degrees,and it keeps getting worst,well i know its only been 2 days of treating ,,but i would think it would not worst,,,this is a real bad time for me im so fukin upset these 3 p's got this sh*t ,here are some pics of them

you can see the spot and lip on the one on the right and the other has a bad gill and a spot of sh*t on him as well

any other idea's on treating this besides what im using? there are not getting better ,,,maybe it will take more time,i started treatment on sunday ,,i know its not going to go away real fast i but i would have hoped it would stop getting worst ,,,just need a little more info to keep my head together,thanx,.,.mike

nobody knows sh*t about fungus here,,im just trying to save my p's life ,i just need a little more info on this i never had to deal with this sh*t before

It depends on what type of fungus they have, most likely its bacteria Flavobacterium. This bacteria makes up mouth and body fungus (which is really bacteria). Anti-bacterial medications which should cure this disease if used promptly, at later stages the bacteria may invade internal organs, in which case only antibiotics may be effective. Different strains exist which vary in their virulence or aggressiveness.

What your using could do the trick, if it speads ANY at all I'd take steps for a more powerful med.
