I'm setting up a 145G Piranha tank currently i'm making the stand it is made out of 2by4 wood and i'm gonna paint it black.

I'm still working on the look of the tank and how many RB i'm gonna put in
i was thinking about 12 RB about 2-5 cm in size i know that tank wont hold so many adults but i'm expecting some to die (get eaten by the others) and if not i will sell the ones that dont fit when they are adults.
But i would love some comments on this....

The look that i'm thinking about is black gravel with a black or blue background and almost nothing in the tank exept maby a few stones on the bottom and vegitation altho this is not final i would love some suggestions or advice...

I have been keeping piranhas for 1.5 years now and now i would like to start from scracth in raising a young swarm in to adult hood

so please tell me what you think...

and pictures will follow later today

Update Taking pictures now

best regards

I think it will look great when you toss some sand in there. Quick question, is the plastic background completely sealed flush with the glass on the sides and bottom? I was wondering because otherwise you could end up getting food particles and other nasties stuck behind it and cause some water issues.

its about 10-1 cm away from the glass back depending on where on the back it is.

I got my heater and the two intakes for the pump back there i drilled small holes on the background so the
intakes could suck in dirty stuff. do you think food could still get stuck there even with the two intakes there ???
