They're from somewhere in Indonesia, which admittedly doesn't narrow it down much.

The room the cage is in is heated to around 80F or so, there is 300 watts of incandescent bulbs creating a 95F basking spot.

I was getting all psyched about monitors (again) as a distant-future pet project, and decided to do some more net researching on them, and it seems all of them require 80+ temps with hotter-still basking spots, which from my perspective looks like too much hassle to ever attempt.

do you just let the room cool down to 70/75 at night?
