A couple of people in local pet stores told me that using carbonated mineral water would be beneficial to plants, since the carbon dioxide it contains will act as nutrients for the plants in the tank...

Just wondering:
Is this true? I mean, adding a couple of liters of mineral water when doing water changes would be a cheap alternative to an expensive CO2-generator...
Or is it just a myth, or doesn't have any effects? And what about the other minerals in the water?
